High School Scholarships
By shifting from dorms in Siem Reap to local-based support, PLF Canada now helps students in Srayang and Knar to complete high school. Our scholarships cover the extra classes, materials, and tutoring rural students need to pass Grade 12, support most families could never afford.
The impact has been remarkable. In 2024, all scholarship students from these communities passed their exams, many ranking in the top 26% nationwide, with 13 earning university or vocational scholarships.
We’re now focusing on Science track students, Cambodia’s future engineers, health professionals, and innovators, whose pass rate has climbed to 84%, more than double the national average.

Each year, some of our Grade 12 students shine so brightly that university becomes a natural next step. Their chosen fields, from archaeology and mathematics to land management and international relations, have the power to transform not only their own lives but their communities as well.
For most of these young scholars, tuition, materials, a laptop, and living stipend would be far beyond reach. PLF Canada scholarships bridge that gap, ensuring that talented students from low-income families can pursue higher education on equal footing.
Thanks to strong foundations built through our primary and secondary programs, more students than ever are completing Grade 12, achieving at higher levels, and aiming for university. For those better suited to hands-on careers, we partner with vocational schools to equip them with practical skills that lead to meaningful employment. Our secondary and tertiary education programs now rival our primary enrollment - a reflection of how deeply students believe in the power of education.
Since inception, PLF Canada has awarded 8 scholarships for university, with 2 graduates now using their skills to strengthen their communities. These students are not just learning, they are building Cambodia’s future, carrying knowledge, confidence, and hope forward with them.
